Hi I'm Eric

I grew up in Colorado Springs, CO. I am currently attending College and work as an assistant manager at Subway.

About Me

I like to act, sing, and be funny. I enjoy good music, movies, and games. I love animals. My favorites are Wolves and Tigers! I love spending time with my family and friends. I'm very creative and I love to write stuff and make my own homemade films/videos. I want to go into either film making, animation, or counseling as a profession. I go to school at a local College, while working full time as an assistant manager at Subway Restaurants. I love to travel and be adventurous! I love the outdoors and love to try new things, whether its a food or a place, or whatever. I love my life and strive to improve it every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon. I was born in the church. But, like any other teenager or young adult out there, you have to know and experience the truth for yourself, and not just rely on everything that your parents taught you. I just turned 20 and plan on serving a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have always wanted to go on a mission, but complications arose. Because of my orthodontia work, I have had to wait for an extended period of time. It has got me to think, with school and work and eventually a marriage, if going on a mission for two whole years was what I should really do. Yes, it is. We pay tithing which is ten percent of our increase. That is a commandment. I am 20 years old, and 2 years of my life so far, in my own perspective, is like giving Him ten percent of my increase/life. I will wait as long as it takes so I can go and serve Him. I know he knows me personally, better than I know myself. He created all things and loves and remembers all of His creations. I know that this church in particular is True. Many churches have a great portion of the truth, but this has the Fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There is authority given in this church that is remarkable beyond measure. I have seen the power of this Priesthood work in my life and in the life of others. Miracles happen every day of our lives and it has been amazing to be close enough to the spirit to know when they happen and not just brush them off. I know my Savior lives, that He loves me, and that He has a plan and a purpose for me to fulfill. I also know that if I keep His commandments, and endure to the end, by His Atonement, I will live with Him agian.

How I live my faith

I enjoy going to Institute in College. Institute is where I can continuously expand upon my faith while in College to keep be on the right path and to learn a better purpose for myself. Seminary was fun too! Seminary is like Institute, except for High Schoolers! I loved seminary! It gave me a great start to the day. I appreciate the fact that I can go to church every Sunday, and no matter where in the world I go it will always be the same. Before I was 18, I also enjoyed mutual every Tuesday night so that I could get together with friends who were also of my faith and share testimony and enjoy a nice game of basketball or football together! Once a month the young men and young women would combine so that we could learn practical skills together and learn more about each other. We would laugh and joke about the games we would play and I loved it when we could get together and learn more about each other. Every summer the guys in our certain age group would take a High Adventure Trip for a week long and enjoy the outdoors as well as coming together and learning from our inspired leaders about the blessings of our faith and the opportunities we have to become more like Christ and know his will for us personally and feel his love.
