Hi I'm Katrina!

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work for a bank. I work a lot. I love to sing and hang out with my friends. I also have wonderful dog. She's a labradoodle and the cutest thing. I used to travel for my job for 3 years. I was always on the road. Now I am settled in one spot and travel on occasions.

Why I am a Mormon

After I was 16, I knew that my former religion was not right. I started visiting other churches. A friend took me to her church, and LDS church. I felt welcome and it seemed right. The doctrine was about God being merciful and full of love, it was not all about damnation. This seemed right. I learned the Book of Mormon was another testament of Christ here in the Americas. This made sense. As I continued to study the gospel, I knew in my heart that it was true. This has been the best decision in my life.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday. I am a teacher on the third Sunday for a woman's class. I also try to visit 3 women to share current messages from the church leaders and develop a friendship with them.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Yes. One of the most important parts of my conversion was making sure that the Bible was important and regarded as the word of God. It most certainly is. In fact, when Joseph Smith (the founder of the church and first prophet) was praying about which church was right in his time, he recalled scripture from the book of John. The whole church is based on the teaching of Christ and the teachings before. This is not only found in the Book of Mormon but also the Bible. Honestly, if the Bible was not regarded as Scripture, I would not have joined the church. This is how I know the church to be true. Show more Show less
