Hi I'm Nate

I grew up in Arvada Colorado, have 5 younger brothers and sisters, I'm a missionary, and I love it... and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well,... me. What can I say? a Nate by any other name, would not be the same. I am currently serving a mission as a service missionary at the Denver Colorado Temple. I work there basically every day that it is open. It is amazing. :) Also... I am living with my grandma. I love my family, they are awesome. I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters. We are friends. It is good. My oldest brother, who is 2 and a half years younger then I, is also on a mission, in Birmingham England, speakin Chinese. Pretty cool. I LOVE music. I like Piano Guys, Lindsey Stirling, Journey. U2, Mormon tabernacle Choir, Nashville tribute band, Peter Breinholt, you know. The works. I love the Scriptures, I love the Church, I have been a young mens secretary, a branch missionary, a missionary meals coordinator, and am currently a Ward missionary. I love it. :) I like talking to people, and sharing my beliefs, I like to inspire people to do good, and have hope. I love service.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I grew up Mormon, always going to church, always being taught faith, love, hope, sacrifice, disappointment, charity, happiness, the works. When I was about 15 1/2 though, I started hangin out with the "rebellious"crowd at high school who smoked and such. One thing led to another, and next thing I know, I was suicidal, and ended up in the hospital for 3 months with paranoid schizophrenia, but, converted unto Christ. Ever since then, my testimony has grown, and my faith has been strengthened. I still have paranoid schizophrenia, and my past haunts my thoughts frequently still, but every day, it all makes me stronger. I can look back to even a month ago and see how much I've grown. Without the gospel in my life, even if I had managed to quit drugs and alcohol without it, I would be so confused. So lost. So breakable and helpless. I love being Mormon. I'll never not be. It's how you can find your dreams, how you can discover your true self, and full potential. It is where you can find love and support when it seems all is dead, Its what God wants us to be. That's, why I'm Mormon.

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith huh? ... Well, I work at the temple 5 days a week doing ordinances for the dead, and doing volunteer work for the grounds crew and the laundry crew... I enjoy it, I like to fellowship people who are new to the church, I like to serve people I see in need, if I can. Like the thing I'm best at I think is just being a friend. I like to make people feel good about themselves, and to say inspirational things to people who may need some pick me up. As president Monson puts it, lifting the hands that hang down. I like to be a good friend. I like to have good friends. I love the missionaries, they are awesome. Always. so yeah. I know I gotta take advantage of life while I've got it. I love that knowledge. Keeps me goin. So yeah. That's some of how I live my faith.
