Hi I'm Rob.

I'm a parent, a teacher, a writer, and a triathlete. I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints--a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have four children, who bring us great joy. I love to read, write, cycle, play racquetball and basketball, and make family movies. Professionally, I've been an attorney, an executive, a religion professor, and a college administrator over online learning. I am currently serving as a mission president for our church, together with my wife, for 3 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have learned for myself, through the Holy Spirit, that God lives, that Jesus Christ is His Son, and that His Church is once again on the earth today, led by living prophets and apostles. The truths taught in this church have been a source of strength, certainty, and clarity in my life. Moreover, as I have strived to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and His prophets, I have experienced joy I can't describe. The proof is in the living. In a world full of the philosophical equivalent of soda pop, here I find living water that truly quenches my soul's thirst.

How I live my faith

My faith shapes everything from how I see others in need to how I endure trials. It leads me to treat others as the Savior would and to live for the joys of eternity rather than the pleasures of the moment.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

We believe in a faith-fueled life that leads to forgiveness, joy, and salvation that we could never earn merely through our own efforts. But such grace does not result from a single affirmation of belief or passive beliefs. It is a blessing from God to those who persistently exercise faith in His Son, demonstrated by the way we love and serve others and submit our will to God's. Having tasted of God's grace personally, I declare with a great Book of Mormon prophet that I am eternally indebted to God, to render unto Him all that I have and am. Show more Show less
