Hi I'm Kylan

I live in Southern California. I like acting and working with film. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah and moved to California when I was 12. I went to a high school where I was the only Mormon among an extremely diverse student body. Through my experiences with people of many backgrounds, I have come to love world culture and people of all faiths and ethnicities. In fact, now I prefer having opportunities where I can experience diversity. Right now (or at least when I wrote this) I am trying to apply to college. I want to pursue a career in the film industry, although I haven't figured out what yet. I love acting though, and hope to take a shot at that.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon, but I didn't really understand what that meant until I got into high school and was faced with a lot of important choices. These choices included who I would associate with, what my morals were going to be, and what I would do that would determine who I would become. I turned to my religion for guidance and I found it. It wasn't easy, and I made a few mistakes along the way, but I eventually developed a testimony in the gospel of Jesus Christ, as well as in the teachings of the modern day prophets. I learned that the morals and values that the gospel teaches are kind of like a cheat sheet for life, in that they tell me how to succeed and be the happiest that I can be.

How I live my faith

Right now (when I wrote this), I serve on the Youth Committee for my local church group. I try to be a good example for my younger siblings, as well as to friends at my school who don't share my faith.
