Hi I'm Denise

I'm a grandma. I love living with my family in California. I raise cows, chickens and peaches, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in a rural area of California with my husband and two children still at home. The older children have married and have families of their own. I was raised in a large family and I enjoy my own family now. I eat vegetables from my garden, pick fruit from my fruit trees, and twice a day I milk my 2 cows... Bonnie and Dinah. We also have chickens. They are very social creatures and its relaxing to watch them peck around the yard. My husband and I work from our home, so its nice that we live in such a beautiful place.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe the teachings of Jesus Christ. As a member of the church I learn how to improve how I live my life and associate with others trying to do the same thing. Following the teachings of Jesus Christ makes me happy.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is all about family. We attend church each week, but more than that, it is important to be with people who share my values as far as raising children and living a moral life. I help out on Sunday by teaching music to the primary children (ages 3 through 11). Most people in our ward either teach or have other responsibilities, so that we all end up helping one another. Our teenage son attends seminary every morning before going to school. This is a religious class that teaches about the scriptures, and where the young people can learn about their religion and get a positive start to their day. In our home, we pray as a family. We believe that God hears our prayers and has blessings for those who ask in faith.
