Hi I'm Dale

I am a husband, father, and grandfather, I teach people how to use computer programs, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Central Utah, but left Utah in my mid 20s to persue a career in linguistics and computers in Maryland, then Washington state and currently in Idaho. I enjoy sending time with my wife and family, playing and watching sports of all kinds, fishing, camping, photography and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

Over the years I have been asked this question many times by friends, business associates and acquaintances. It an easy question for me to answer. When I was 15 years old I was reading the Book of Mormon for the very first time over Christmas break from high school. It was hard to start reading, but I kept at it. On the third day of reading (probably 3-4 hours of reading had transpired), I knelt and prayed, asking Heavenly Father to help me understand what I was reading. A warm feeling came over me and as I started to read it was like the book was opened to me on a new plane. I understood everything and couldn't put the book down! I stayed up all that night reading and finished late in the afternoon the next day. Again I prayed and asked to know that what I had read was true. The response from Heavenly Father was undeniable. It is true and this is His Church!

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon means much more than being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. "Mormonism" is far more than a religion, it is a way of life. It is the Way of Life Eternal. It is the way to retun to Father. Everyday, in everything I do I strive to live as He wants me to live. Over the last 40 years I have had the privilege of being a Boy Scouts of America scout master, an adult leader with 18-30 year old single adults, and currently enjoy teaching adults in Sunday School. It is easy to do what the Lord asks if we but commit ourselves to being like Him.
