Hi I'm Cassidy Bronson

I'm Miss Idaho 2012. I love all things vintage. I served a full-time mission in Winnipeg, Canada. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was Miss Idaho 2012, among many other titles. I was Miss Teen Idaho,an American Idol contestant, a modeling and vocal coach, radio personality, spokesperson and debater. I had fun doing all of those things that brought me "success", but I couldn't seem to find lasting happiness. I was searching in all the wrong places to find my role in this world and to find joy and acceptance. Since I have been serving a mission, I have learned who I am. That is, a daughter of an Almighty God. I don't need to be Miss Idaho to be of worth! My greatest role model wore a crown, but His crown was made of thorns. The humble life that He led, and the atoning sacrifice that He made for me has brought me true happiness. I have never felt more peace and joy then in the service of my Lord, and I wish that same feeling upon each person in the world! I can now say with all of the energy of my soul that it is the crown of the Savior, not the crown of man that brings peace and love. I served as a full-time missionary in the Canada Winnipeg mission! I loved every minute of serving a mission, it is the greatest thing I have ever done. I love Jesus Christ because He has changed my life in so many ways.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true. I petitioned God to know if He was real, if this was His church, and if Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. I received a strong answer from God. I feel His love and I feel the love of our Savior.. The spirit that I feel when I am obedient to His word is the most amazing feeling in the world! I am a Mormon because it is the only real happiness that this world offers.

How I live my faith

Saint Francis of Assisi said, "Preach the gospel at all times and if necessary, use words." This is the doctrine of this church! We should live each day to the best of our ability to glorify our Lord and Savior... one decision at a time. I live my faith through daily repentance, change, and coming closer to Christ.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Cassidy Bronson
There is no set in stone rubric. They follow by the spirit and teach what the immediate needs of the individual or family are. However, there are several basics that are very important to our religion. Such as families, the atonement, the plan of salvation, a living prophet, and much more. All missionaries should focus on a message about Christ though.   Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Cassidy Bronson
In a typical wedding ceremony the preacher will say "Till death do you part". In the LDS church, we believe that families are eternal and can be together forever... even after death! That means that we can still be sealed and bound to our spouse in there hereafter. This is something that I look forward to with great anticipation. The love of my life and I get to live forever with one another! What is more exciting than the knowledge of being in heaven with your best friend and companion? Not to mention the beautiful children that you bring into this world... I can't wait!  Show more Show less

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Cassidy Bronson
I have been ridiculed for being apart of a church that does not allow woman "equal rights". I believe this to be a fallacy. There are many woman that sit on general boards of this church. While a man has been called of God to be the head of the church, woman still play a large role. Women do not hold the priesthood, because that is not their responsibility. The priesthood is the duty of the man. This is not to say, however, that they are the only ones who can receive blessings from the priesthood. Blessings are available to all. Woman play a different role. The objective of the priesthood is to help others and serve. The objective of motherhood is to also help others and serve, both have an intricate purpose and are essential to the others success. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Cassidy Bronson
Family is a chief cornerstone to our religion. The plan of salvation that the Lord put forth for us is achieved by creating a righteous family that is built upon gospel principles. In order to be exhaulted on high in the life hereafter, we must enter into the new and everlasting coventant of eternal marriage. Families are a symbol of unity and, together, they can help eachother to make righteous decisions that would qualify them for eternal blessings. Show more Show less
