Hi I'm Bret

I'm a Mormon. I am a father of 7 ,a Eagle Scout and love to ride dirt bikes motorcycles

About Me

I am a proud father of seven great kids. My wife and I have been married for 26 years and still going strong. My love of the youth has lead me to be active in Scouting. Helping raise young men worthy of my daughters (4) is a great reward. I am active in other activities and love to ride motorcycles.

Why I am a Mormon

While being raised in the church it was easy to rely on testimonies other than mine. It did though provide a foundation for me to build upon. For a long time I fooled myself and everyone else until we decided to change employment and move to a town in which we knew only one family. It was there that one day being alone that Heavenly Father finally had my attention. Finally I came to him pleading and open for His help. Moments after tearful and earnest prayer He so lovingly let me know He was there as I opened the scriptures and read the answer that I was looking for.The Spirit filled my soul and I knew that all had been forgiven and it was time to stand on and build my own testimony. Since that day I have never looked back. The renewed commitment on my part opened up the blessings and the spiritual experiences that were there for me to have the whole time. The windows of heaven were opened and in a very short span of a few years my family and I have had a lifetime of spiritual experiences and many, many opportunities to witness and be a part of the Saviors hands. I am a Mormon because I put forth the effort to find truth and testimony and Heavenly Father answered and continues to answer my prayers. I now know the Savior Jesus Christ is my Redeemer and through Him I can return and live with my Heavenly Father and with my family who have been sealed together in His holy temple. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth to bless our Fathers children and provide a way in which we can return and live with Him again someday. This is the true plan of happiness.

How I live my faith

Each morning I pray that in some way or somehow that I may be the Saviors hands in someones life that day. It may be an act of kindness or an opportuniy to share the gospel but everyday I look for those opportunites. I live my faith each day by trying to bring light into others lives. Serving others and losing yourself in His work makes living the gospel easier. I serve the youth through programs for the young women and in the Boy Scouts of America. Focusing on helping these young men and women realize their potential and ablilites helps me keep focused on living and being an example.
