Hi I'm Lois

I grew up in the southern part of New Jersey in the United States. I'm working mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love reading. I love playing volleyball. I love to cook. I enjoy scrapbooking. I'm a mother, a sister, an aunt, a wife, and a sister-in-law. I graduated from college with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a minor in Computer Science. I attended grad school to earn my Masters of Business Administration. I recently celebrated a 20 year annivesary with my employer as a financial analyst. My favorite thing to do is anything that allows me to spend more time with my family which includes my brothers, their wives and children.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are converts to the church. The missionaries found them when I was 2 years old and taught them the gospel. So, I began to learn about the gospel as well. I remember as a child always wanting to be at church. I believe it was because of the spirit I felt when I attended. When I was 13 years old my family moved and for a while I couldn't attend church. I missed it. I wanted to feel that same spirit so I did what I could to have the spirit with me on Sunday and I started reading the Book of Mormon. This was the first time of that I read the entire Book of Mormon. It was during this time that I read and prayed and came to know for myself that the Book of Mormon is true. My testimony has grown so much since that time, but it laid the foundation for the testimony that I have today. I know the our Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers and that he loves us - his children. I know that he wants us to return to live with us and that through the restoration of the gospel it is possible for this to be accomplished.

How I live my faith

Service is the church helps us grow to love and care for each other. I serve our congregation by selecting the hymns for our worship services and leading the music during our service. Hymns help bring the spirit to our meetings and teach us principles as well. I also serve as the director for our choir. Our choir is small but I love each one of them and I love singing with them.
