Hi I'm Brent

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I am a 51 years young, father of five, married to my best friend who was my childhood sweetheart. I have been married 28 years and have three grandchildren. My profession is in the public education field where I taught for 10 years high school shop and 16 years in administration. I have loved every job I have done and am grateful for the opportunities to help others prepare for a world of work. I enjoy riding dirt bikes fast and hard to the top of the highest mountain. I find peace with my family and love doing things together. We love to drive to a wide spot in the road get out and just hike to see what we can find or explore. I am always amazed at the beauty of this earth and God's creations. I often hope I was part of the creation of the western USA especially the beautiful red and white canyons of the west.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family who was already members of the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS. I am grateful that I was given the opportunity from a young age to come to an understanding of the purpose of life here on earth. I have been blessed with good parents who taught me who our Father In Heaven is and how we fit into the eternal perspective of his kingdom. Because of that teaching I have learned we have a living prophet here on earth to guide and direct our efforts to move through this probationary period and return back to the present of our Heavenly parents. I have learned that through the Prophet Joseph Smith the gospel in its fullness has been restored and that all our brothers and sisters need to have the same witness, same ability to see and feel as I do. To come to an understand of why we are here and where we go once this life is over. More importantly, the reason I am a Mormon, I know God Lives, he loves each one of us and desires to have us all return to him. It is through this faith that I have come to know God and life's meaning.

How I live my faith

Their is an analogy I use often to reflect how I live my everyday life. This analogy is not only for my faith but my professional and family life. It is this; each one of us as been given a bucket of water to stir, how you choose to stir the pot is up to you. I believe my responsibility when its my turn to stir is really give it a whirl and make it flow and move the best I can or to the best of my ability. My reward is knowing I have done all I could for the time it was mine to stir. I live my faith with faith that tomorrow will be only what I prepare it to be today. It takes getting up early and dropping to your knees to thank your father in heaven for the day ahead and at the end of the day to drop again and thank him for the safety and blessing given from the experiences felt seen and heard. I try to live my faith by living to the principals the Savior taught why'll upon the earth, " do unto others as you would have them do unto you".

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes, with all my heart, I know we have a living prophet on the earth today. What a great blessing it is to know in a troubled world that God is speaking to man and guiding his church through a living prophet. Show more Show less
