Hi I'm Kimy

I'm a dog lover and future cosmetologist with plans of opening a salon and spa with my husband! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a proud Texan who loves being a Mormon! My interests are cosmetology, reading, art, and cheerleading. I am the oldest of three with two younger brothers that have become my best friends. My husband and I are happily married and have two small dogs, Purdy and Milly, who we love and spoil! I am currently attending cosmetology school with dreams of opening a salon and spa where people can have fun, relax, and be taken care of.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true gospel that was restored on this Earth by the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are real and that this is their church. I have a testimony that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, and that our prophets are called of God. The gospel has helped me so much in my life, and I can honestly say that I do not know where I would be and what I would be doing with my life if I did not have it. Through the power of prayer and faith, I have felt comfort in my times of need and have been able to make it through the trials and tests of life. I love this gospel and am truly thankful to have it in my life. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

When I pray and read my scriptures morning and night, I can feel the Spirit of God with me each and every day, and my life is so much easier to handle. The biggest and smallest trials feel like nothing more than little pebbles under my feet and I feel ready to take on any burden that is placed on my shoulders and any trial that comes my way. I am so very thankful for the challenges and hardships I have gone through in my life. They have made me who I am today and without them, I would not have the faith that I have in both the gospel and our Savior, Jesus Christ. Living the standards of the gospel and following it's teachings has also blessed my life. Many people have the idea that Mormons "don't have fun" or are "too restricted" because we don't drink alcohol, do drugs, smoke or have sexual relations outside of marriage. However, that is completely not true! By choosing not to do those things and following the commandments and standards we have been given in the gospel, we are blessed with agency and have fun in our own way! By obeying the law of chastity, not drinking, etc., we are not weighed down by the consequences that come with those actions, and are therefore able to live our lives and have fun the Mormon way!
