Hi I'm Robyn

I'm a pediatric home health nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated college and became an RN. I am currenty working as a pediatric home health nurse while my wonderful husband is working on his degree. I love cross stitching, listening to audiobooks, travel, and spending time with family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family and growing up, it was natural for me to live with the standards and values my family and the church set. I learned gospel principles from my family and church leaders and wanted to live them. The messages of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints make sense to me. I am a logical person and like to know how and why things are. Every piece of doctrine the Church teaches is in harmony with what I know of the world, myself and others. Nothing contradicts, and by putting all of these doctrinal concepts together, there is a great whole of truth. Life is full of mysteries, and I love being able to find my own path by following counsel of church leaders, written in the scriptures, and through prayer and guidance from the Holy Ghost. At times in my life I have questioned why I believe the things I do. Why do I continue to attend church and keep standards that many think are strange and unnecessary? The answer I have found for myself is that the Gospel makes me happy. It's as simple as that. When I follow the commandments the Lord has set, I am able to live day to day with a smile on my face and know that I will be able to make it through all of the challenges in my life. I can have a happy and loving marriage, I can spread joy to those around me, and best of all, I know that I will be able to live for eternity with my family and with my Savior.

How I live my faith

I try to live my religion every day. My husband and I attend church every Sunday where we listen to talks that have been prepared, participate in lessons where we discuss scriptures, and learn more about the gospel surrounded by our friends and neighbors. For the last year I have played the piano for the 3-7 year old children. They have great leaders who teach them important principles and I get to sit behind the piano, listen to their cute comments, and watch them learn. Then I play while they sing fun and religious songs together. I am also a visiting teacher. Another woman and I are assigned to visit other women in our church. We go to their homes and teach them gospel lessons, get to know them, and work to meet their physical and spiritual needs. I love making friendships with other women and seeing all of their great qualities. Morning and night, my husband and I pray together, as well as individually. This helps me feel connected to my Savior and carry His Spirit with me. I also read in the scriptures, or the words of church leaders evry night to help me always learn and grow in the gospel. No matter how much I know, there is always more to learn. I try to be a good example to those around me by being kind and loving, but I am no where near perfect.
