Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a from Southern California. I recently moved out on my own all the way across the country and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well, I'm Sarah. I'm 20 years old. I've been a member my whole life. I was born and raised in Southern California and recently moved to Maine. It's a huge change but I love it. There are a million stars and I finally got got build my first snowman. I'm trying to get my general eduacation all finished so I can go into Sonography. I'm not quite there but I'm hoping soon. I love all different types of music and I LOVE to dance. I took ballet and ballroom. I can't get enough. My best friend just got baptized last year. That whole experience was amazing. I was on a spiritual high for months. If I could accomplish one thing in life it would be just to make everyone feel loved and cared for. Make sure everyone knows without a doubt that they matter.

Why I am a Mormon

There are so many reason's I am LDS. I've attended other churchs in the past but no matter where I go, nothing compares to how I feel when I go to the LDS church. The spirit felt there is like none other. The guidlines of the church are a blessing in my life. Living by them makes life so much easier. I never have to worry about getting in trouble with my body, aolchol, drugs...anything. The people of the church are amazing. SO nice. They will help you with anything if you need it. I love the Book of Mormon. It gives me so much guidence in my life. If I ever have questions about anything I just pick it up and start reading. The church tells you to ask for yourself if it's true. I didn't do that until about a year ago. It was right after a lesson with the Missionaries. They had told Drea to ask for herself and even though I already had a testimony of the gospel I decided I needed to do it too. So one night I prayed to my Heavenly Father. I told him that I knew the church was true but I needed to know for sure. I told him that I had a testimony but I needed it to grow. So I concluded my prayer and layed in bed. I kept getting the feeling I needed to open up my scriptures so finally I did. I flipped it open to 2 Nephi 31:20-21. It reads: "20.Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life. 21.And now, behold, my beloved brethren, this is the way; and there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God. And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is one God, without end. Amen." It was then I truely knew that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was the true church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by filling my spiritual cup each day. I pray, read the scriptures, and try to always remember my Heavenly Father in all that I do. I strive to have the light of Christ so that I may be a beacon to others that they too may come to know of the gospel. Sundays are my favorite day of the week because it is the day I get to go to church. I get to sing the hymns with everyone and partake of the sacrement so that I may be clean again each and every week. I don't cuss. I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't drink coffee or tea. I try to be kind always.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Joseph Smith worried about which church he should join for months. He pondered it out in his heart and in his mind and then prayed. He asked Heavenly Father which church to join. If you ask with a sincere heart, really wanting to know for yourself, He will answer you. James 1:5 says: If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." 3 Nephi 27:29 says: Therefore, ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you; for he that asketh, receiveth; and unto him that knocketh, it shall be opened.
