Hi I'm Joseph

I grew up in the U.S. and Canada. I'm a husband and father. I'm an aspiring academic. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband to a lovely wife and the father of three beautiful daughters. I am a PhD student, I love to backpack in the mountains and to camp, and I enjoy reading and learning.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a wife and three children who I love to pieces! Being a Mormon has taught me that I can be together with my family forever. This is possible because God has once again given His power to men on the earth and because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day by following the example of Jesus Christ. For me this includes teaching and service. At church, I teach principles of the gospel to other men, assist with cleaning the church building, and visit with other families each month to make sure their temporal and spiritual needs are being met. At school, I work hard and help others learn with me. At home, my wife and I make sure our family prays together and reads from the scriptures every day so that our children know that God loves them and that they can always go to Him and He will bless their lives.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Mormons believe that without the grace of God through His Son Jesus Christ, all mankind cannot be saved. No matter how hard we try to follow our Savior's perfect example, we still fall short. Only by grace can we return to live in God's presence as individuals and families, which is the ultimate goal of our existence on this earth. Show more Show less
