Hi I'm Stephanie

I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. I love to see new places and spend time with family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom of four boys and one daughter and a grandma of two adorable little boys. I lived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as a child and have always loved traveling to many different countries and learning about different peoples and cultures. When I have free time, I love to read, swim and spend time enjoying the outdoors with my husband and family. My children and grandchildren are spread out all over the country, so we really cherish those times when we can be together. One of my sons is currently serving a mission in Argentina.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a personal knowledge of the divinity of Jesus Christ. I know He lives and loves us and that he is the Savior of the world. I know that His true gospel has been restored to the earth and that the authority to administer the ordinances pertaining to life and salvation are here today in this church. It gives me great joy to know that my family can be together forever, and that despite the challenges and hardships of this life, wonderful things are waiting for us! Every good thing comes from Christ and results from God's infinite love and mercy, exhibited by his willingness to give His Son to the world. The truth of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been reiterated in my life and to my soul over and over again in ways sometimes subtle and sometimes dramatic. "By their fruits ye shall know them," and, the fruit of the Gospel in my life has certainly been sweet. It has brought me faith, hope and charity, which I see every day in the beautiful lives of those around me, and which I hope to develop more fully in my own life with the Lord's help. I love this church, and I am so grateful to those family members who brought its truths to me through their courage to listen to the missionaries' message, sometimes at great personal sacrifice. I hope to honor their sacrifice and legacy through the life I live and the faith I endeavor to transmit to my children and grandchildren. I want everyone I know to have the same joy being a member of this church has brought to me.

How I live my faith

I love serving and working with the amazing youth in our community. They never cease to amaze me with their knowledge, talents and abilities, and their willingness to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ in an increasingly complex and challenging world. As I serve with them, I am reminded of the Savior's life and teachings, and how He "went about doing good." I see so many young people in our congregations striving to serve others and let their light shine as they help and share their unique personalities in their church, schools, and community. I am blessed to rub shoulders with them! They are truly "examples of the believers," and I am fortunate to have the chance to serve with them.
