Hi I'm Phillip

I'm a Mormon and a surgeon.

About Me

I am a husband, father of two boys, and very busy surgical resident.

Why I am a Mormon

I gained a testimony of Jesus Christ and the Book of Mormon during my teen years. Feeling Christ's love for me through the power of the Atonement motivated me to share His message to all people. I interrupted college for 2 years serving as a representative of the church in Singapore, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka. Teaching the doctrines of Christ found in the Bible and Book of Mormon strengthened my testimony of Jesus and sparked a desire for serving humankind.

How I live my faith

I pray daily and study the scriptures on my own as well as with my family. I also teach the gospel to the adults in church once a month. I also visit a few families in my ward monthly to teach the gospel and lend a hand of help and fellowship.

Are Mormons Christians?

We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and Savior of the world. We believe that he was born of Mary in Bethlehem and learned the carpenter trade of his earthly father. We believe that he was perfectly obedient throughout his life. He went about healing the sick, raising the dead, and showing all how to keep the commandments. We believe that he suffered for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane, was judged by wicked men, mocked, and ultimately crucified on Golgotha's hill. He paid the price for every sin committed by any person. We also believe that he atoned for our sorrows, sufferings, and infirmities. By descending below all things he could rise above all things and because of the atonement he perfectly understands our trials. We believe that he rose from the grave and because he overcame death, so can we. We believe that he is our advocate to the Father. Indeed we believe that Christ is the way to true happiness and author of our faith. Show more Show less
