Hi I'm Kirk

I love nature, sports, and being with Friends & Family.

About Me

I have a wonderful wife and children. I love to be with them and go boating, wake boarding, snow boarding, horse back riding. Nearly anything with my family in nature. I love sports and watching my children compete. I am a business man that gets to travel the world and I love to work with people all over, I love to discover their cultural differences, but also our countless similarities. Everyone I meet loves their family, wants to provide for them, and wants to be happy.

Why I am a Mormon

Life can be hard, and it is even harder when we don't have a path to follow or a goal in mind. I am a Mormon for many reasons, but the biggest reason is because it is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and through it He has shown us the path we are to follow. Being a Mormon has given me direction, it has taught my family and me what we need to do to be happy now and even after this life. There is such comfort when we know that we are doing what our loving Heavenly Father wants us to do. The last point I will mention is that as a Mormon you are not taught to simply believe the words you are taught, rather you are taught that Heavenly Father loves you, he listens to you when you pray, and he answers you. You can pray to know if the path before you is true, and if it is your living Heavenly Father will whisper it to your heart and you will know his will. Wow! That is where is Peace is.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by having fun! I love to spend time with my children and their friends. I love to play with them, but also to be there to answer the questions that weigh on their minds. I serve in our church with the Scouting Program and with other youth activities. I love to visit other families and share the message of comfort and hope that is found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What do Mormons believe happens after we die?

This is a questions that I believe will eventually weigh on everyone's mind. After death our lives will be reviewed and we will be judged based on the knowledge that we had, and how we treated each other. Our purpose in life is to be tested to see if we will search to find the truth and then what we do with that truth. Show more Show less

How is the Book of Mormon different from the Bible? How did Joseph Smith obtain the “golden plates” or Book of Mormon?

The Bible and the Book of Mormon are the same in that they both are the writings of Prophets. The only difference as I see them is that one took place near Jerusalem and one in the Americas. Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

This is my FAVORITE part! We get to know about our Heavenly Father by learning about him, trying to be a good person, and praying. In the hectic world we live in, I love to find a quiet peaceful place and to pray. To share my thoughts and fears and questions with my Heavenly Father and then quietly listen to His direction and to feel His Love. Show more Show less
