Hi I'm Lyle

I grew up in Utah as a member of the LDS Church. My career was in accounting and auditing as a CPA. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

We have 6 children and 18 grandchildren. We spend some of our time flying around the country visiting our children and their families. We also enjoy fishing and camping for recreation. I also enjoy playing the piano to relax. We live in a beautiful part of the US. The northern mountains of New Mexico, in Los Alamos, known for the development of the atomic bomb. It's only minutes from the mountain scenery. We plan to leave this area for 18 months and go to the Dominican Republic as missionaries working in Family History.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a fourth generation member, but reading the Book of Mormon when I was a teenager convinced me of its truth. As a 19 year old young man, I served a mission for the church in Mexico, where I learned Spanish and to love and appreciate the Mexican people and culture. Since that time, I have married my sweetheart in the temple for time and eternity, and we have diligently tried to raise our 6 children to develop their own beliefs in the teachings of the church and remain active. I have had various callings to help my faith increase, from scoutmaster and teacher in the primary (organization for children) to leadership positions. I have a firm testimony that this is God's church, and have felt his influence many times in my life. For this reason, I love to share the Book of Mormon with others and will be serving as a missionary in the Dominican Republic for 18 months.

How I live my faith

As a family we attend church each Sunday; however, I currently travel to Santa Fe, NM to attend church as an assignment. I am the clerk of the Spanish speaking unit (branch). I have served as the Ward Mission leader and a home teacher, visiting 7 assigned families at least each month. My favorite service in the church is working twice each month in the temple located in Albuquerque, NM. I love to share my beliefs with others, usually by giving them a copy of the Book of Mormon, and asking them to read it. I have never had anyone refuse. As part of my service to the community, I am the treasurer of our local swimming pool association.
