Hi I'm Annie

I'm a wife and a mother of three. I love being outside. I have worked a lot with troubled youth. I enjoy origami. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I can fold a pretty mean origami box, or even a frog. You want an origami crane... no problem. I've spent a total of 8 months surviving in the wilderness, but only one or two weeks at a time. I loved it. Although now with three small children that's not as easy as it once was. I can make a bow drill fire with the best of them. I managed to graduate from college. I've done some white water river rafting as a guide. Working with my hands fixing or building things has been a big part of my life. I've worked with troubled youth and loved that. But now I have the greatest, and most challenging job of all, being a wife and mom. I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of this chruch but that's not why I am a member. I love that anywhere you go (and I've moved around a lot) the church is the same and there are always people that you can trust and will help you even if they don't know you. But that's not why I am a member of this chruch. I love that this chruch is set up by Jesus Christ in the same way He established his chruch when he was on the earth. With living prophets and apostle's. But that's not the reason either. I am a member of the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because of my relationship with my Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. I pray and my Father in Heaven hears me, and answers. I've prayed about being a member of this church and have recieved an answer from our Father in Heaven to me personally. Because he is a loving Father he speaks to me in a way that I know is just for me. To show that he can and will commuincate with me if I come to him. What greater witness can you have than from God?

How I live my faith

Living my faith is an every day, even every minute thing. I live it by trying to always follow Christ's example. By being kind to others, by trying to improve myself. I also have the chance to work with the young women in the church ages 12-13. I get to teach their class for an hour on sunday. The girls I work with are great. I also get to visit 3 different women in my congeration a month. I go with one other women and we make sure the needs of these women are being met and share a message with them. I also like to look around me when I am out and about and see if there is anyone that needs something. Like someone walking down the street carrying a load of grocries that needs a ride. Or even something as small as smiling or using clean language.
