Hi I'm Anji

I am an environmentalist, a conservationist, and a bread maker. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of four children. I am up to my ears in laundry and dishes, but I love to take time out for a workout at the gym, or read a good book. One of my greatest loves is alternative energy. My dream is to drive an alternatively powered car, and live in a solar powered house. I recycle with a passion, I buy local food whenever I can, and I have a solar oven.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon, and have believed all my life that this church was true. Now that I am a mother, I can't imagine the worries of parenthood without the reassurance the church and my faith bring. I know Jesus is the Christ. I know that this church is the same church that existed while Jesus himself lived on the earth, and that it was restored to Joseph Smith through revelation from God. I know that God brought back his church for the comfort and betterment of his children. Just as I knew that my fiance loved me by how he treated me while we were dating, I know that the church is true by how it treats me and others.

How I live my faith

Right before I got pregnant with my last baby, I became the president of our local women's organization. The whole time I served in this position, I was either pregnant or nursing, which meant I had to depend on the other women in my group to do a lot of the work with me. Our "work" was to make sure every woman and her family was fed, clothed, safe, and happy. Those are broad and overwhelming responsibilities, but the fact we were even attempting to make sure these goals were met is a testimony to me that this is the true church of God, for the God I know loves and cares deeply for each of his individual

How can we stop the spread and influence of pornography?

Pornography teaches that women and children are garbage to be used, abused, broken, discarded. To stop the spread of pornography, we need to teach respect for women and children, as well as respect for life and innocence. It is important to realize that the ideas taught through pornography are fallacious. At its very core porn is an expression of selfishness, excess, exploitation and degrades everyone involved. Sex is meant to be an expression of respect and love, and is not meant to degrade either partner, while pornography, like a drug, dulls users enjoyment of healthy expressions of love and users search for even more excitement through deviancy, including abuse of children.
