Hi I'm Bruce

I grew up on a small ranch in Southern Utah.

About Me

I was raised in a large family and had a wonderful childhood. All of my brothers and sisters as well as myself were expected to help on the ranch. I developed a love for range cattle, good ranch horses, and a dog. This led me to eventually become a veterinarian and return to my roots where I have worked with ranches and dairymen the bulk of my professional career. I am married with a wonderful wife and children. My wife and I are now grandparents and love this new chapter in life. My dad always said, "that if you lose touch with the land, you lose touch with humanity." My life in a rural setting has allowed me, I hope, to lose neither.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were very humble people. God was very much a part of their and my life on the ranch. We prayed together, studied the scriptures together, had weekly activities together as a family and ate together daily. As a result we were very close to each other. But I did not have a testimony of the divinity of an Eternal Father and the essential role of Jesus Christ until I left to serve 2 years as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was then that I was blessed with a spiritual manifestation of the truthfulness of what I was teaching. This is what I would choose to call a testimony. This testimony consisted of knowing that God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ do indeed live and are interested in our success. That the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was restorted to the earth in these the latter days through the Prophet Joseph Smith. That revelation from God continues today thru a living prophet even Thomas Monson. These basic truthes continue to guide my life today and I would be lost without the constant guidance of the Holy Ghost. These basic truths can be known by all men who humbly seek after them. I would challenge all to seek and you will find this same wonderful blessing that will bring clarity to life and purpose to onces existance.

How I live my faith

As an adult, I have been a scoutmaster, served on the county fair board, served at a correctional facility, served on many state boards. I have tried to always live my life in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ. I have fallen short of the mark many times and have had to reavaluate and start anew. But because of this process I am closer to being able to serve with an eye single to the glory of God than I have ever been before. I thank a forgiving Heavenly Father for working with me a sinner.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Bruce
The mormon lifestyle is in my estimation a process wherein you as an individual try to bring your life in to line with that of our Savior, Jesus Christ. This is indeed a life long adventure and the only one you are competing against is yourself. Many times one falls and because of the mercy of a loving Savior, we are able to learn from our mistakes and move forward knowing that He will remember our shortfalls no more. Mormons live a life with direction and a knowledge that we cannot only be happy in this life but have the richness of Eternity. Show more Show less
