Hi I'm Stephen

I love places where creativity and technology meet and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a very wide range of interests including camping, music, film, computers, bicycling, games, and history. This keeps me moving from one hobby to the next. I work in television and love doing job well.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints so I believed the teachings. When I was 14 I was challenged to ask God and find out for myself if it was all true. I put the promises to the test and was told in my heart and mind that it is true. Since that time it's been one long gospel experiment; try to live the gospel and see if the promises are true. When it all works out it helps to build my faith and keep me moving forward. Living the gospel has also helped me to grow closer to my Savior Jesus Christ and my Father in Heaven. The gospel of Jesus Christ has brought me the only real joy and happiness in my life. It has given the knowledge that I can be with my family after this life and that is very important to me.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day. I try to study the scriptures on a daily basis to give me perspective and strength for the day. I pray each morning and night. Sometimes it's to thank, sometimes it's to plead and sometimes it's to just meditate and feel close to my Father in Heaven. I serve in the church by teaching in one of the classes once a month. I also help the clerk for our ward each Sunday.

Who are the Mormons?

The term "Mormon" simply refers to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It's a long name so most people use the term "Mormons." It comes from the fact that, in addition to the Holy Bible, we have another testament of Christ called The Book of Mormon. Just as the Bible is the precious record of God's dealings with the people in Israel, the Book of Mormon is the record of God's dealings with the people in the ancient Americas. Show more Show less
