Hi I'm John

I love my family, sports and music. I'm a Southern Californian and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a lot of interests and I always like trying something new. My first love is sports. I played college volleyball and I also love to play basketball, softball and golf whenever I can. I also sing in a regional Mormon choir and we perform in an incredible concert hall twice a year. I've played the piano since I was young and I love many types of music. I've been married for 23 years and have four awesome kids. There is nothing like being a Dad.

Why I am a Mormon

Like other members of the church, I was baptized when I was eight and grew up in the church. However, I still had to gain a personal and individual testimony that I was doing the right thing and living the gospel as Christ would have me do. As I followed the commandments and recognized the blessings from living the gospel, it helped me become stronger in my faith. When I did not follow the commandments, it was easy to see how my life became more difficult. The church has been an incredible instruction guide for me in my life.

How I live my faith

I try to be involved in the community and in the church as much as I can. I am on the Executive Board of our High School choir and I love going on their choir tours with them. I believe it is very important for us, as members of the church, to be great examples to our friends and neighbors on how to be kind and helpful to everyone. Trying to live the life of a true Christian is a way for me to be a strong contributor to our neighborhood. In the church, I serve in a position that allows me the opportunity to work with many members of our church and it is very satisfying to me to help others in whatever needs they may have.
