Hi I'm Sue

I am an outdoor enthusiast. I founded an educational consulting company. I am a mom of 3 energizer-boys. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom and a business owner/founder.

Why I am a Mormon

I have friends who say "I am spiritual-I believe in God-isn't that enough?" I have pondered that question and finally come up with my best and most heartfelt answer, and that, I have come to realize, is my testimony! Being spiritual, believing in God, and in Jesus Christ, are just a PART of what we need to "be a believer"-to be a disciple of Christ-and to ultimately live with Him forever. I know that my spiritual cup is partially filled as I learn to follow Christ's example, as recorded in the Bible, and that my cup is further filled as I pray, try to be a good Christian, and read the scriptures; but I have realized that is not enough! As I attend my church meetings I am lifted by the teachings of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ in my Sunday meetings, the partaking of the Sacrament each Sunday, and the beautiful ORGANIZED religion, that is, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This is His church, Christ's Church, here on the earth today. It has been restored, just as it was when He walked this earth, with Apostles, Prophets, revelations, and miracles performed. I have felt the Holy Ghost witness this to me as I watched miracles happen in my life, as I hear and read the words of the living Prophet and Apostles testify of Christ and lead His church today, and as I hear my friends and family bear their testimonies of Jesus Christ, and God, our Heavenly Father, and the truthfulness of the Gospel principals. I am lifted daily and my spiritual cup now runneth over as I am embraced by the organization that is known as "the Mormons". I know, and share my testimony of this truth: that this is Christ's church here upon the earth today, just like it was in the past, with all the keys, ordinances, and the power to act in God's name (the Priesthood)-and that these keys and ordinances will, accompanied by faith & works, allow us to live with God again. Just believing is not enough-we must BE and DO-be a 'believer' and become a true disciple of Christ.

How I live my faith

I am so thrilled to be called to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the youth! Each Sunday, I share lessons from the New Testament to young men and young women (ages 14 & 15). I pray for strength to say the words that will touch their hearts and lead them to be a little bit better each day, to become more like Christ, and be better sons, daughters, students, citizens, and friends. Words from one of my favorite songs says "I'm trying to be like Jesus, I'm following in His way, I'm trying to love as He did, in all that I do and say". These words echo in my mind each day as I try to do what Jesus would do in any given situation. I am far from perfect, but I strive each day to walk a little taller, be a little kinder, and do a little better. I try and share a message of faith and hope; of charity and love as I work in schools across America. I believe that just by being Chris-like, we can change the world. By following His example, we can become more tolerant, more loving, more charitable. I hope that the people I come in contact with will say "there is something good in her- she has such a light about her". I pray that I radiate God's love to all I come in contact with. I hope that people see His image in my countenance. I try to always show the joy and happiness that my faith provides me. With my faith has come hope; and with my hope has come the desire to share this light with all I meet.
