Hi I'm Cameron

I love: my wife, sports, college, travelling, mango's, guacamole, the mountains, and being Mormon!

About Me

I've lived in New Hampshire, Utah, Washington, and Colorado. I love the outdoors and playing sports (mainly tennis, golf, and basketball.) Boating and snowboarding are also favorites. Currently I'm in college and do advertising for the school newspaper. I'm married to my longtime best friend. We met in an early morning seminary class (like youth Bible study) and wrote letters when I was a missionary in Tacoma, Washington. Getting married and serving a mission for the church have been the two greatest experiences of my life. Serving a mission brought me tremendous joy. Teaching others about the church and the Savior helped myself and others understand what life is really about. I definitely miss talking about spiritual things all day for two years. I didn't think anything would ever be as good as those two years in Washington until I was married. Married life is an absolute blast. It's great to have a friend by your side at all times. There is always something fun to do, someone to talk to, and someone who wants great things for you. I'm loving life and look forward to what's ahead.

Why I am a Mormon

I absolutely love the Church of Jesus Christ and being a part of it! I am SO happy when I apply the teachings of the Savior to my life. I get emotional just thinking about the many spiritual and wonderful experiences I've had as a member of this church. It's comforting to know that God wants, more than anything, us to have tremendous joy.

How I live my faith

First of all I try to just treat people well. When 'I think of the Jesus Christ my first thoughts are of a really nice, compassionate, loving person. I try to be like him. Prayer is really important to me. The reason I'm involved in church stems from answers to my prayers. I have prayed for help with important things and some stupid things but God has always helped me make the right decisions. Some prayers have been simple, like a mental prayer before a test, and some have been with all of my heart, but in every occasion I have felt God at least comfort me and give some reassurance that he's there. I also listen to a lot of inspirational things (like church talks, gospel sermons, discourses on gospel topics, etc.) Church talks from the current Prophets and Apostles are huge for me. I like to listen to uplifting messages on my phone when I get ready in the morning. Lastly, I love studying the life and teachings of Jesus Christ from the Bible and Book of Mormon. Sometimes It is hard to get the scriptures open and I often don't understand everything I read right away but every time I read the scriptures I learn something and feel great. It's like that good feeling you get from exercise but in a spiritual way. Having knowledge of the scriptures has been a huge blessing in my life.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

They will talk about what ever you want to talk about. The missionaries are the coolest people on the planet. They just help people, all day everyday. How sweet! Missionaries want families and individuals to be happier through the teachings of Jesus Christ. They can adapt and make it interesting and applicable for you. If you were to ask them, they would literally do anything for anyone. Luckily the thing of most importance they can do is teach about the Savior and His restored church.   Show more Show less
