Hi I'm Jeremy

I grew up in Southern California. I'm a husband, a father and a healthcare Administrator. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in southern california and currently reside there. I am a proud husband and father, to a great wife and two wonderful children. I enjoy sports and being with people. For the last serveral years I have worked as a director of nursing and rehabilitation facilities. I love serving those in need.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon home out of tradition, but found that truth is much more important than tradition. Truth is real and it is about coming to have a personal relationship with God and his son Jesus Christ by doing the things they have asked us too. As I have read the scriptures diligently and prayed to ask God to continue to teach me the truth of all things, I feel like I know this is Christ's church. It is the Church Christ organized when he was upon the earth, but has now restored to gather Israel before his second coming. I am so happy to have that knowledge and to be able to follow it and gain peace in this life.

How I live my faith

Each day I try to start by getting on my knees to thank and ask God for those things he gives me and I need. I also try to read the scripture individually and with my family before we go off about our day. Then the rest of the day is spent interacting with others, which is why we need to do all we can to treat others as we want to be treated and seek to lift up those who need our help. I am not perfect, but strive each day to do the best I can to follow the teachings of the Savior. I know I fall short often by committing errors or even by just simploy falling short of the Savior's invitation to "be ye therefore perfect". I am grateful for the atonement of Christ that provides mercy when I repent of these things. I grow each day when I seek to put God first in all that I do.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

I love going to visit the church's of many of my friends and neighbors who aren't of my faith. I find it admirable that they have such faith in God that I do. I feel I should never critisize or contend with there faith, but I do feel it important to say what the Savior did when he said, "...learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest for your souls" (Matthew 11:29). The way to know the truth of things is through the spirit. It was given for our profit and learning when the Savior left this earth. It is a gift. We must be humble enough to seek to learn whatever is true. If we cast out the option to learn of any faith, we in essence are not willing to follow the Savior's admonition to learn. You can come to know if what we believe is true by simply listening to a message offered by missionaries from our church. Then by faith and prayer you can ask God if they things they are teaching are true. It's that simple. No one will force you to believe it. God has give you your agency to choose. Show more Show less
