Hi I'm Yvonne

I'm a Mormon. I have a testimony that the Church is true.

About Me

I am married with 4 chidren, 3 boys and a girl. 2 have served missions and have been married in the Temple. 1 is currently serving in the Poland Warsaw mission while the other is still at school. I am a Parenting Co-ordinator and arrange classes to help parents to be more effective and to enjoy being a parent.

Why I am a Mormon

The teachings of the Church help me to be a better person and to lead a more meaningful life. It has helped me to develop talents and to make super friends.

How I live my faith

I currently work in Relief Society which is for the sisters over 18 in the Church. I help to teach lessons on Sundays. I also teach Seminary which is a gospel study class for 14-18 year olds. We hold classes each day and the spirit felt in these classes is tremendous.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

We follow the pattern the Saviour gave- He was baptised by immersion and so we need to be baptised also. We need first ot hae Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, then we ,must repent, this makes us ready for baptism and is the first step on our journey back to live with Heavenly Father. This baptism is symbolic of burying our old life in the water and rising up to a new life as we come out of yhe water with our sins forgiven and a new life ahead. Show more Show less

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

We try to live Christian principles, to follow the Saviour's example. Family is the most important thing. We try to be honeest and faithful. We live the Word of Wisdom - that means not smoking or drinking alcohol, no drug-taking, no tea or coffee as we believe these are harmful to the body. Our bodies are sacred and house the spirit so we need to keep them pure and clean as we would anything sacred. Show more Show less
