Hi I'm Lauren

I grew up in southern California and love the ocean. I am an artist. I love teaching kids. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I just returned home from serving a full time mission in St. George Utah! It has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. I love sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. I have always loved the out doors and love to travel. I enjoy riding horses and camping. Ever since I was a young child I have always loved writing stories and drawing. Growing up with two brothers and two sisters and wonderful loving parents has been the greatest joy in my life. I have always been a shy, quiet person, but the experiences I have had in my life have helped me to grow into the persom I am now.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I am so thankful for that. I grew up knowing that I am a daughter of God and that He loves me. I remember learning about the Plan of Salvation, Heavenly Fathers plan for us, when I was young and it has always given me hope and peace through my trials. For a time I stopped going to church and during that time I didn't feel happy. I really felt that something was missing. When I began attending church again I felt a warm burning in my heart and knew I was doing what Heavenly Father wanted me to do. I have felt the healing power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and I know that the Savior lives and loves me. I have found so much strength in reading the scriptures and so much peace and comfort in going to church. As I cried out in prayer one day I felt the Savior take my hand and lift me up. Being a Mormon has blessed my life in ways that are hard to express. I know who I am and I know why I am here. I know how to receive answers to my prayers and guidance in my life to help me live a better life and find more happiness and joy. I know I can be with my family forever and I know the gospel of Jesus Christ helps bring our family closer. I know we are guided by a living prophet and if we heed his counsels we will be led safely back to our Heavenly Home. Nothing has brought me greater joy than being a member of this church and I know it is true because of the peace and joy it brings me.

How I live my faith

I have been so grateful for the opportunities I have been blessed with to serve in the church. I have served as a teacher for the women in the church for two years. It not only gave me the opportunity to help the women, but it helped me to grow in the knowledge of the gospel myself. I learned so many things that have helped me with the challenges we all face in life. I was able to develop skills and grow as a person. I love serving the women and I love the visiting teaching program. We have the opportunity to serve and strengthen one another. I cannot go a day without prayer and I love studying the scriptures. Heavenly Father often answers my prayers through the scriptures. I know that when we are in the service of our fellow beings we are only in the service of our God. I love serving others! It brings me so much joy! I am now currently teaching the Young Woman ages 14 to 16. I have learned a lot from them. They have very special spirits.
