Hi I'm Emaleen Franz

I love life, I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am from a tropical country, Philippines! And I grew up in a very lovely place called Dumaguete, born and bred. I am in my senior year in college. I study Mass Communication. I love journalism, photography, broadcasting, acting, directing, all those things a mass media practitioner actually does. I have two sisters I am in the middle, and unfortunately we don't have a brother. I love exploring new things, going on an adventure, meeting new people, taking risk, I just love the adrenaline rush when you are in a situation where your strength and capabilities are being tested! I love the randomness of life sometimes, and I get pretty impulsive sometimes. I am a very outgoing/versatile person. I always believe that Heavenly Father has given us numerous talents and the privilege to progress through developing these talents. I love singing and dancing! To put everything in a nutshell, life isn't about finding happiness its more about creating happiness! So if you wanna be happy, then be!

Why I am a Mormon

My father and mother married in the temple so that makes me born of the covenant. But testimonies aren't hereditary. I gained my testimony while I was in my seminary years. My teachers taught me well. And I could say that one of the greatest achievement in my life so far was to receive my seminary graduation diploma. During those years, I've learned the gospel more fully and understood it well. I am a Mormon because it shaped my life. I cannot imagine walking in this turmoil world without having the gospel. I am always grateful to my parents who chose to marry in the temple. Which someday I will marry in the temple too. I am definitely sure that there is somebody preparing the way I do. I am a Mormon because I know I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father and I am special.

How I live my faith

Aside from being busy in school and other stuff, I see to it that everything is in its perfect equilibrium, if not perfect, well at least I'm on the right track, so to speak. I have several callings in our branch. I am the first councilor of the young women, seminary teacher, branch missionary and lately received the calling of being the branch historian. Being in the YW organization just made my life more colorful! I love being with these young ladies, aside from feeling younger, I love the love I feel whenever I am with them. And I cannot give up seminary, my friends at school may find it unusually ridiculous but actually, its the best time of the day, wherein I get to teach these fragile youth and slowly see their life changed because of the gospel. And that is just amazing! I cannot stress the word anymore! I know Heavenly Father is watching every move we do, and he knows our needs and wants and he has only given us the best of life. He loves us!

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Emaleen Franz
Yes! Families can be together forever. For me, Heaven is not Heaven at all without my husband and children. Death isn't the end, it is just the beginning and part of a more glorious happy living. Every Latter-day Saint's ultimate goal is to be married in the temple and be sealed as a family with the right priesthood authority and the spirit of promise which seals each couple.
