Hi I'm James

I'm a Mormon. I have a wonderful wife and six great children. I teach school at a Junior High.

About Me

I am a father of six young kids. I am a school teacher, and have taught for 10 years. I enjoy spending time with my family. We love to watch movies together, which is good because I also work at the local movie theaters. My wife is from the Philippines, and her parents have recently immigrated here.

Why I am a Mormon

I am grateful to my parents for raising me a member of this church. To me family is important and this church's focus is all about the family. I especially like the fact that we know our families can be together forever. To me this gives my life a purpose. I know that my choices have meaning and if I want to be with my family I need to live my life according to our Heavenly Father's plan.

How I live my faith

I think living this gospel is a day by day trip of learning who we are and our relationship with a loving Father in Heaven. Each day a try to live my life so that I can be close to him and feel of his love. I also have six wonderful kids who I need to teach this gospel to. I can not just sit by and expect them to develop this faith. I need to be an active role model for them. I have a lot of church meetings that I need to attend. My sons have asked me why I am always going to church, I tell them that I am doing it for our family. I want them to see that this gospel is important to me and that I want it to be important to them.

What is the Church’s position on abortion?

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints we believe that life is a sacred gift from God. We rejoice in each opportunity to have a child join our families. I have six great children in my family. I value each one of my children and I enjoy each one of them. To me this is what life is all about. Show more Show less
