Hi I'm Don

I'm a Mormon. I am a convert of many years I am proud to be a Mormon

About Me

I am a father of 8 children. My hobbies are making ink pens, cocllecting coins and military and police sholder patches. I am a Viet Nam era vetran and I am very active in veterans affairs.

Why I am a Mormon

I was converted in 1973 but went in-active when I was transfered to Europe. In 1980 my family was sealed in the Swiss Temple. I love the church with my whole heart. I have learned so much about the gospel and about myself since I have embraced the gospel. My children have been taught so well not only about the gospel but life as they were taught how to dress properly and how to act. The programs of the church are wonderful teachers for us.

How I live my faith

Community participation is one of the things our prophet has asked us to do and as such I have been elected to the Veterans Memorial District Board. I am trying to make an impact in the community and bring awarness of veterans affairs to everyone. I have been very active in my ward by working with the young men age 12 to 18 in the scouting program throughout our county. I have also been responsible in helping to arange a youth conference for two different counties. Helping the youth to grow is a super experience.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

The Holy Ghost is the third member of the God Hood. First is God the Father, then Jesus Christ the Son and then the Holy Ghost, The Holy Ghost is the entity that is our protecter, our conscience, and our guide. I enjoy the fact that when I stay intune with the Lord the Holy Ghost will be there to help me. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

We believe that the family is the core of life on this world. We believe the family as a unit must be protected at all cost. We also believe that Satan would like to destroy the family structure and turn family members against one another. Show more Show less
