Hi I'm Hillary

I am a wife, a mother, and a crafter. I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a hard working husband that allows me to do what I do best. I am mother to five beautiful kids. Having kids has completed me; I really found who I was when I became a mother. It's a hard job but I am grateful to be able to be a mother. Then just so I keep myself real busy I love to craft and create. I also love to play right alongside of my kids, ride my bike, and do things for others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt the Spirit throughout my life. The Spirit is the good feeling I get in my heart when I do what is right. I had good parents that raised me right and taught me to be good, which helped me in my life. I was taught and gained my testimony bit by bit and little by little. Even though I was taught and felt what was right, I believe there comes times that one has to choose what to believe and follow for themselves. I have made mistakes along the way and have had to decided for myself to cling to the teachings of the church or go a separate way. My decisions to continually hold fast to the teachings of the church has made me who I am today. I believe so much in the gospel of Jesus Christ! I believe IN Jesus Christ, for the amazing things he did for everyone, but especially the price he paid for me. I know He is real and does help me through His Spirit. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet just as there were prophets in the New and Old Testaments. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet on earth today. I feel a burning in my chest every time I read the scriptures and I know that that is the Spirit whispering the truth of it to me. I also have felt the power of prayer in my life and I know that my prayers are heard and answered. I have a testimony of so many other things and I'm grateful for the knowledge that I have, and have gained through the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I try to live as an example, a follower of Jesus Christ. I try to live close to Spirit so that I know what I need to be doing and who i can help each day. I love to serve and do small and nice things for those around me. I am constantly teaching my kids all day. Teaching correct principles doesn't go far if I myself am not living the the way I should. I love the gospel and try my hardest to choose the right.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is knowing who I am, where I came from and where I'm going. I have a small glimpse of my purpose here on earth. I know that I am a daughter, a literal spirit daughter of my Heavenly Father. I lived with Him and He sent me here to earth and He wants me to be happy. He has given me, and each of us, an opportunity to feel the same feelings of love and happiness as He feels by allowing us to live in families. I find happiness in serving my family, and those around me, doing what is right, praying, reading my scriptures, listening to the Spirit, going to church and following the commandments of God. To others is may seem like a lot of work, but I feel closer to God and I am blessed so much for even the small things that I do. Being Mormon is commitment, peace, service, happiness and love.
