Hi I'm Evan

I'm from California, I love making people happy, Im an engineering major. Im a Mormon

About Me

I am a college student in the engineering field, when i was younger I made a foolish decision that resulted in legal trouble and incarceration. Looking back now I can truly see how the lord protected and guided me during all of my life especially that time. Today I am better than ever and I really enjoy exploring and being out in nature when im not studying.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel and the influence it has in my life on a daily basis. I grew up in in a member family, but made some foolish choices after high school. I can honestly say that my worst days now are so much better than my best days were when i had strayed from what i have always known to be true.

How I live my faith

Because i ride the bus to school, I have about an hour a day that is perfect for scripture reading, and I always try to keep an extra book of Mormon handy, so that if heavenly father does lead someone into my life, I will be ready. I also try to go to the temple every Thursday night, it is always worth the drive to have that added measure of the spirit in your life that comes from attending the temple.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Baptism is very important, in the new testament Jesus is baptized to fulfill all righteousness. Even as Jesus was baptized by the proper authority, it is equally important that every person who is old enough to be accountable has that opportunity. We preform baptisms for the dead in their stead because they no longer have physical bodies to do so themselves. It is then up to each individual for whom this proxy ordinance is preformed to decide whether or not they want to accept it . Show more Show less
