Hi I'm Lindsay

I'm from Kentucky, I love ice cream, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 22 years old and I live in Provo, UT. I am a student a BYU where I study food science and where I work as a secretary in the religion department. I am the youngest of five children, which means I now how have 3 and half nieces and nephews :) My favorite food is ice cream followed very closely by pizza. My favorite color is yellow because it's so happy. I grew up in Lexington, KY where I had the chance to grow up in the church. I was baptized by my father when I was eight and I have been becoming converted ever since. I recently returned from my full-time mission to California. That was the best year and a half of my life and I learned so much. I met so many amazing people! It was also the hardest thing that I have ever done, but the joy that I experienced far out-weighted the sorrows. I love this church because it's not just a church it's the gospel of Jesus Christ!!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my entire life. I have gone to church each week for over 21 years, but I have had to learn why. I have prayed several times to know the importance of this gosepl, and whether or not it was true...and I have received an answer many times, always the same, a feeling of peace, comfort, warmth, and excitement. I feel these same things whenever I read the Bible or Book of Mormon. Each time I read I find something that confirms to me the truthfulness of this gospel and the love the Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ has for me. Everyday I look around and see God's hand. I see it in the people around me, in the trees, the mountains, simply life in general. How could the world be so beautiful without a higher power to create it, and why would He bother making it so beautiful unless he loves us. This gospel is a message of hope and joy, there is no other way in which we can return to live with God and have eternal joy with our families. This gospel makes sense because it is the truth. God is real and He had given us this gospel.

How I live my faith

Living life as a Mormon is just that, living life. My faith is in everything I do, my study, my friends, my activities, my interactions with the world around me. Each day I strive to be a better representative of Christ because that's what I am. Living my faith is being honest, hard working, kind, understanding, basically being like Jesus Christ. How I live my faith is to try as hard as I can to always be optimistic, because how else should i be, I have been so blessed and God is always there to guide me and comfort me. He wants us to be happy and have joy in our lives. I am a missionary for the church and each day I learn to be a better teacher of the gospel. I share my beliefs of Christ and the knowledge that we can someday live with our Heavenly Father again. I am striving to teach and love people, and I think that is exactly what my faith is all about.

What is being a Mormon like?

Lindsay
Being a member of the Mormon Church is the best thing EVER! You always have friends no matter where you are, in your wards and stakes, in Relief Societies and other organizations. Being a mormon is joyful we hear the words of the Prophet and learn of God and the atonement of Jesus Christ. I have hope as a mormon I know where I came from, why I'm here, and where I want to ultimately go. Life is great and has meaning when you have faith in Christ and His gospel. Being a Mormon is being a member of a family. We are all children of God. Show more Show less
