Hi I'm Lindy

I love to be in nature, read mystery stories, write music, play the piano and sing with my family. I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I love music, and I used to spend all my time on the piano bench! Now I spend my time taking care of my 4 kids and husband and loving my friends. I enjoy writing music and taking care of my new baby. It's a great life!

Why I am a Mormon

Because it teaches me to love and be a better person. It stretches me to become more like Jesus. It helps me to feel close to God and learn how to sacrifice to bless others. It is the best organization on Earth!

How I live my faith

I try to live it every day by being aware of the feelings and needs of everyone I come into contact with. I try to leave everyone a little happier than I found them. Also, I play the piano for the children's organization and I play the organ for church services. In addition, I have responsibility to watch over and care for 3 of the ladies that live in my congregation. It's my stewardship to make sure their needs are known and taken care of.

What is the Book of Mormon?

An amazing gift to the world. A history of the religious beliefs and ministry of Christ to the people in the Americas. It testifies hand in hand with the Bible of the divinity of Jesus Christ and his love for all the world. It was written by prophets over the space of 1000 years, and collected and edited by a man named Mormon. That is why it is called the Book of Mormon. Show more Show less

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Of course! I read it every day with great love and gratitude. It is meant to be a witness of Christ, and it is! The Bible is a sacred history that is the foundation for Christianity all over the world. It is a collection of writings from prophets. We Mormons love all of the prophets that testify of Christ, modern and ancient. Show more Show less

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Color is only an issue to men, not to God. Membership has always been available to members of all races. That being said, there was a time when the priesthood was reserved for certain blood lines, much as the tribe of Aaron and Levi was reserved to hold the priesthood in ancient times. Through modern revelation, that restriction has been removed, and now all worthy male members may be ordained to the priesthood. Show more Show less
