Hi I'm Bill

I'm a lawyer and a father of four. I love sailing beach catamarans, hiking, camping and biking, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy sailing, biking and being with my four children.

Why I am a Mormon

My wonderful parents enstilled in me from my earliest years a love for Jesus Christ and his gospel as they taught me Bible stories and how to pray, study, seek truth and recognize the Holy Spirit. As a consequence, I sought God through prayer and study. I learned of his truths by answers to my prayers and the witness of the Holy Spirit. So, I am a Mormon because of my faith. But, I the side benefits are also good: a solid basketball program and great social community.

How I live my faith

Each day I try to exemplify the Christian virtues that I espouse and hold dear. Jesus Christ is my personal Savior and Redeemer and the Savior and Redeemer of all mankind. I try to follow His divine teachings and His perfect example. For sure, I fall short. For that reason I am especially grateful for His grace that permits me to repent of my sins and, after this life, to live with God. Every day I pray to my Father in Heaven in the name of Jesus Christ. I seek the Holy Spirit to guide me and try to be of service to those around me.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

God is full of love and knows me (everyone else) personally. I was baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. So, there is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. They are one God, yet three, in a way that I do not fully comprehend. Yet, I know that they are unified. Jesus was with God in the beginning, but Jesus is God. John 1:1. Jesus prayed to the Father that the apostles would be one, even as Jesus and His Father were one. John 17:12. The oneness of God expresses to me a principal that I should follow Christ's teachings as I live day to day, to try I try to align my hope, faith and life with God's will and to try to show to others the love that God so freely gives me. I am grateful for God the Holy Spirit who inspires me and renders testimony of the existence of God, grateful for God the Son who died on Calvary and saved me by His blood, and grateful for a loving Father to whom I may pray for faith and divine intervention. I am grateful to be a child of God. Show more Show less
