Hi I'm Logan

I live on the Oregon coast. I love my wife and little girl, my jobs and learning. I'm a servant of Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! First off, I am a musical person that doesn't play an instrument . . . yet. I love to sing and listen to inspiring music. I love musicals and choirs the most. I sang in the top 5A high school choir of the state of Idaho my senior year and I have sang at the collegiate level. I hope to sing in some more prestigious choirs later in life. I take every possible opportunity to sing whatever is on my mind and occasionally on request. I love to be with, talk with and teach people and I'm never afraid to be me: spastic and fun-loving. So spastic I dance in any opportunity and could care less what it looks like as long as I have someone to dance with. I love to try new things. I'll try any sport whether I'm good at it or not and any type of food. I am a college student and absolutely believe it to be one of the most wonderful decisions I've made. My plan is to study psychology and pursue a doctorate to help others overcome their fears, doubts, concerns and questions about themselves and life in general. Greater knowledge and moving forward toward my goals are what I strive for most in life. When I'm not spending time with friends or college, I'm very much a family person. I am the oldest of three busy boys with my angel mother and champion father. I love my family. I believe strongly in family unity and will protect it with my own life. I cannot wait to marry the love of my life and start my own family someday. Then I can teach the little ones to sing too!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a home with parents who always have been very faithful members of the Church and spared no moment to teach me what is good in this world. A part of those truths being that Jesus Christ restored the Gospel and His Church to the earth when answering a prayer of a young man searching for the truth. But, this was not enough for me. I had to know for myself if everything that my parents taught me was true. For a long time I wondered, "Is all of this really true?" After all, there is only truth or lies. This Church and its teachings that I had been a part of since birth were and are true or I had been lied to all my life. So, when I was about 10, I prayed to know if this was true and 9 years later I was answered. I know that this is the truth. This is the Gospel and the true and living Church of Jesus Christ that has been restored to the earth by the Father and Jesus Christ Themselves through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that the Book of Mormon is scripture, as is the Bible, and contains the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Because of this, I know that Christ suffered, died and was resurrected for all so that we may repent and come unto Him. He is the center of my life. He lives! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has the authority to marry and "seal" members for time AND eternity - meaning that marriage will not end with death if you remain worthy. I have the unique and indescribable experience to be sealed to my dear wife and best friend. She's beautiful, she's fun, she's charitable and she's pregnant! We are having our first and she is a girl! I am stoked to say the least. I am so happy and feel so blessed to finally be a father. I can't wait until December to hold both of my girls. I cannot tell you what to believe. But I assure you I know The Book of Mormon is true, Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live and They speak to their servant Thomas S. Monson to guide us. God answers prayers for He answers mine. I cannot deny it.

How I live my faith

I walk every day with love in my heart for my Father in Heaven, my Savior, my family, my friends and my enemies. I remember constantly that everyone here on earth is my brother or sister. I do all I can for them and am always willing to listen to a voice in need. I do this because I know it is what Christ would do for those who are in need of faith, hope and PURE love in their lives. I use and strengthen my talents to help heal broken hearts and strengthen feeble knees. I'm often the friend to somebody who just listens and offers encouraging and loving words. I'll always talk with someone about how wonderful they are, especially if they think nothing of themselves and need to realize just how much they are worth in this world and especially to their Father in Heaven, their Savior and me. I'm willing to use my hands to roll up my sleeves and go to work. I love to get up and go. I love service projects that the Church organizes, the planned and unplanned opportunities I take to help others, the little acts of kindness that I look for everyday and to give a warm smile to everyone I see. Such work is shown in my past full time service as a missionary in the Southern United States and I love to teach others the truths of the Gospel. My teaching continues today as the Sunday School instructor for the 12 and 13 year old young men and women in my local congregation. I serve God by serving His children. We're all in this together and I love doing my part.

Are Mormons Christians?

We are most certainly and absolutely Christians. The entire foundation of The Church is built upon the doctrine of Jesus Christ with the pinnacle focus being His glorious Atonement. Without Him or His universal sacrifice, all of us would have no purpose or focus in this life. With that said, our first and primary purpose and focus as Latter-day Saints is to learn of Christ because His Gospel, which He paved and lived Himself, is THE ONLY WAY HOME. Show more Show less

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Most definitely! No where else in our canon of holy scripture do you find more of the Savior's experiences or parables of His life than in the Holy Bible. The Holy Bible will always be identified first in the standard works of The Church. Show more Show less

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

No. We do believe in honoring and sustaining the laws of the land in which we live and being active citizens in our different communities. Our political views are varied but we stand by what we believe and do not move. Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

I served as a missionary for The Church from 2011-2013. The reason that I proselyted is because I know that the teachings of the Savior; which He has, does and will reveal; are true. I proselyted because I, like the tens of thousands of other missionaries, love my Father in Heaven and His Son. I proselyted because I had given up everything else in my life to serve my God by serving His children by bringing them the Gospel of Jesus Christ into their lives. I proselyted because I know that the teachings that I know to be true are the only way back to the Father's presence and eternal life. Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

There is no greater blessing that full fidelity and faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings than the promise of being married and having your family for time and eternity. However, this promise is conditioned upon full obedience to the commandments of God and full repentence of sins committed in this life. The reward of a life lived after Christ by following His example through performing all of the ordinances of the Gospel, including those in the holy temple, is eternal life - living with our family members who also qualify and with the Father and our Savior Jesus Christ for eternity. I don't believe there is any greater blessing than this. I'm not even married yet, but I have such a strong and firm testimony of this promise that I refuse to be married anywhere unless it is one of the temples of my God. Show more Show less

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

An important portion of our faith is that we believe in the same organization of the Church that existed at the time of Jesus Christ's ministry itself. When he organized His followers, He called 12 men to be His apostles - special witnesses of His divinity and reality. In this time and day, the Lord has called apostles to testify of His name and mission and He continues to call more as these men die. He is the same yesterday, today and forever and so will be His Church and its organization. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about family?

We know that families can be together forever, even after this life, if they are sealed together by the authority given by Christ which is exercised in His temples. The family is the basic social unit of society and the Church. It is where a child's life begins and it is there that it should end. It is where a child is first taught how to live in this world and should be taught to live after Jesus Christ and His Gospel. We love our families and anybody who loves another would never want to lose them. This is why the promise of "forever families" is so very important to us and to God - because He doesn't want to lose us either. Show more Show less
