Hi I'm Ethan

I have lived in Idaho my whole life. i do my best all the time and I was a Mormon Missionary. now i am attending BYU-I.

About Me

I was a missionary for the church in North Carolina. I really like to read and spend time with my friends. I am getting a higher education now that I am done but I hope that I can always be able to share the gosple. i plan to be married in God's temple December 27th, 2013.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church but I came to have my own testimony eventualy. I wouldn't be a member today if I didn't. I encorage others to gain a testimony of these things as soon as they can!

How I live my faith

i was once a missionary for the mormon church in north carolina. i enjoyed helping the people that i met come closer to God and Christ. i work hard every day to do this for others and now i do it at home. not nearly as much as i would like but school and work come first.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Yes. Without question, the Bible is the word of God. as or "13 articles of faith" state, "we beleive the the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated corectly; we also beleive The Book of Mormon to be the word of God" (articles of faith 1:8). Show more Show less

What are some of the ways that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps those around the world?

The church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints sends funds, supplies and man power all over the world to those that are in need and specificly to those that have had a large natural disaster. just as the Savior did, we "morn with those that morn and comfort those that stand in need of comfort." the Church teaches that we must reach outside of ourselves and lift others, at home or abroad. How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

as a member of this church and as a missionary i love this question. by asking this question the first step toward the answer of this question has been taken. the next is to talk to a member or missionary about this question. as you do so you will be exposed to a number of different people that all have the same goal. to return to the presence of the father by the grace or Christ. you will be invited to participate in several discussions on the basic doctrines taught within the church and that are held dear to many members. if you accept, you will then be asked to pray to the Father for a knowledge of the truthfulness of these thing. we share that if you sincerely ask in supplication you will receive the true answer. it is then that you will be invited to be baptized as the savior invited all during his life to partake of the living water. Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

I quote president Gordon B. Hinckley on the matter. “The men hold the priesthood, yes. But my wife is my companion. In this Church the man neither walks ahead of his wife nor behind his wife but at her side. They are co-equals in this life in a great enterprise.” the perpose of the preisthood is to serve those around us. the women in the congregations and in the churches already have the natural instinct of caring and nurturing others. we as men need a helping hand with this. therfore the lord has given the authorithy to do services in his name to help us all as a church to develope the attribute of charity. one could say that the one word definition of the preisthood is 'service', the same way our savior spent his life. Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

concerning what we as latter day saints wear to Sunday services, we try to wear "our sunday best", but we refuse no one from coming who wants to know more. to someone that i would invite personally to these services i would just say to wear what you feel is best but please remember that modesty is one thing that the lord desires from his beloved children.
