Hi I'm Steven

I'm from a place no one has ever heard of. I'm a trivia junkie and a miniature athletics enthusiast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from the tiniest of tiny towns in Kentucky. I'm a huge fan of sports especially miniature ones like ping pong and mini golf, video games, and music. I love random and/or useless knowledge. I've completed 1 year of college and am currently serving the Lord as a missionary in the Arizona Phoenix Mission. My parents split up when I was really young. In fact, I don't remember a time when they were together. I was primarily raised by my mother, who taught my brothers and I how to read from the Bible. I've always believed in Christ, but I didn't really know for quite some time. Throughout high school I had many challenges that resulted from trying to live my faith, and it was hard to not give in sometimes. But I know that the Lord's counsel always keeps us where we need to be.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon born and raised, but I've definitely had to seek out my own knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My knowledge of Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and Redeemer came strictly through the Book of Mormon. As I read its pages I could feel the power of the Holy Ghost testify to me that Jesus Christ truly suffered and died not only for me, but for the entire world. When I prayed to know if what I was feeling was right I got an overwhelming feeling of joy. I knew that what my Mom had worked so hard to teach me as a child was true. It was because of the Book of Mormon that I had a desire to read the Bible. I know that through both collections of scripture we are able to gain a sure knowledge of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and that the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ we can overcome all things. It's a wonderful thing, and I am grateful to be able to share that message and the blessings it brings.

How I live my faith

By trying to be like Jesus, and following in His ways. After teaching the Parable of the Good Samaritan Christ said "Go and do thou likewise." Although I'm not even close to the example He set, I live my faith by giving my best effort to live in a Christlike manner.
