Hi I'm Chong

I'm a traveler, a student, a fiance, a big brother, a son, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name's Chong. I am originally from mainland of China. Currently, Edinburgh is where I am studying with the major of Finance. Travelling is the first thing I wanna do in my leisure time, meeting and serving various individuals or members in different areas is my way to keep up with the Holy Ghost and fulfill the God and Jesus Christ...... I am Chong, a traveler in such a wonderful planet, a student, a fiance of my wonderful fiancee, a big brother of my lovely sister, a son of my beautiful parent and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

Today is February 4th of 2011. Honestly, this is only my 6th month since I was been baptized......There is a story...... Several months ago, there was a boy walking around the Princes St. in Edinburgh. All he had is his wallet in his right pocket and the cellphone in the left. However, what he bought for eating was not delicious enough and what he purchased to wear was not warm enough. There's nothing wrong with the food and the clothes, just 'cause he did not have any ideas about where to go, what to do and what matters most is that he had no one to share with the feelings from the bottom of his heart. And what happened later was even hard for him to imagine. One day, this boy met one of his Chinese classmates called Sabrina -- they almost did not get along with each other before. However, they sit together at the same table and began to talk. During the conversation, this boy got to know that there's some pretty nice people and what they contribute to others was just beyond his imagination. And he quite wondered what they are and how they can be. Then a brother as a guider told him where he was, what he was doing and what he ought to do. the boy called him Qifeng as everybody did. Next this boy was brought to a kind of lesson named Institute. At that night, it was the first time he looked into this family. What he still remembered was that the word said by Elder O'neal and Sister O'neal that they are Dad and Mom of this family. At that moment, they just said with a smile that they are just fake parents. But this boy believed that they are really fatherlike and motherlike. In the following days, this boy insisted to keep up with the Book of Mormon and Elder Bathke, Elder Lee and all of the families. Gradually he got familiar with the always optimistic Elder Bathke and Elder Lee who are filled up with a kind of willpower, and always patient teacher Norman, and always energetic sisters Lyn, Betty, Chen Fei and Jennifer, and alway quiet Sarra and Hellen. In the end, he found out that this is a true family. Finally, this boy decided to be baptized. If you ask this boy what the baptism or the whole progress of improvement gave to him, he'd like to say it is just a miracle that he's able to stand right here and speak out loudly his gratitude to everybody. He is hugely grateful to the God and his son Jesus Christ for giving the opportunity to him who used to be selfish, arrogant and have faith in nothing. And you can call this boy as Chong who is a Mormon......

How I live my faith

I am serving as a Chinese Sunday School teacher in my Edinburgh ward...... I have to say that it is tough but I'd love to do a lot as I always got the feeling of the Holy Ghost just around me during the whole progress of class preparing, conducting and ending...... I am hugely grateful for the calling God sent to me and indescribably happy to serve as a Mormon.
