Hi I'm Collin

I'm a history buff, a swimmer, a missionary and I don't like green Jell-o. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a missionary in the great state of North Carolina! I am originally from Utah. I am the son of two wonderful parents who help to raise me in the church. One side of my family even came across the country with the pioneers. My parents once reminded me of that when I complained about chores. I enjoy a lot of the things life has to offer. I grew up playing the violin and other instruments. I swam for high school swim teams as well as USA teams for several years. I love scuba diving! I really enjoy being outdoors hiking, camping, biking, river rafting, etc. I am from a bigger family and love being around all of them whenever we can be around each other. I hate the question, "I'm bored, what ya wanna do?" and try to find creative ways to have fun. I went to college for two semesters and I plan on graduating and either go into law or teaching.

Why I am a Mormon

It wasn't until I came to North Carolina that people consistantly started to ask me that question. I'm glad they do because I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I continue to see the joy and the happiness that it brings in my life. I am a Mormon because I prayed to know if the Book of Mormon was true and if Joseph Smith truly was a prophet of God. I got the answer that yes, it is. That has made all the difference in the way I choose to live and follow the example of Jesus Christ. Some may think that I am only a Mormon because my parents are members. The truth is everyone has to gain a testimony for themselves and that is the only thing that will last when trials come.

How I live my faith

I try to live what I believe each day and work to do what God expects of me. At the moment I am serving a 2 year, voluntary, mission and put school, work, and other things on hold. It continues to change the way I look at life and has given me incredible opportunities to serve others and get to know some great people. We go out everyday from about 10 AM to 9 PM and share the Gospel with anyone who is willing to listen. It is amazing to see the happiness and changes that the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ can bring to people.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Because it is true, and you don't have to rely on man to give you your answer. You can pray and ask our Father in Heaven to know for yourself Show more Show less
