Hi I'm Justin

I'm a Returned Missionary, I love to serve, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I guess you could say that I have had a normal childhood. My interests pretty much encompass anything that involves me using my hands and getting into the outdoors. I enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, and people watching. I also enjoy working on cars and problems solving. Welding is a way that I have found to make my ideas come to life. I served a mission in Upstate NY and it is there that I was able to develop my love for serving other people.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the wonderful example of my parents. As I grew up, my parents helped me in making decisions and putting me in places that built a foundation for the rest of my life. I had the decision on whether or not to build on that foundation, but they did their best to provide it for me. I reached a point in my life where due to various circumstances I was left with only 2 choices. I could either follow my parents, church leaders, and the Savior, or I could follow the way of the world. As I weighed the end results of each choice, the decision came easy to me. I chose to follow the Savior, and I still do. As I have built my life upon that sure foundation, which is Jesus Christ, I have seen the many blessings that have come into my life as a result of it. Those blessings outweigh anything that the world has to offer.

How I live my faith

Right now the way that I live my faith is through missionary service. I am serving a full time mission in upstate NY, USA. It has been a life changing experience for me. I have learned what the true meaning of love and service is. As I have given of myself and served the lord and the people of NY, I have grown in my testimony of the Jesus Christ.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No, not all Mormon's are required to serve a mission, but they are continually encouraged by a living prophet to do so. Just as in the day of Christ when he sent out His disciples to "teach all nations", we believe that is what the savior wants us to do today. I have seen missionary service as a blessing and an opportunity, rather than a burden and a chore. Show more Show less
