Hi I'm TJ

I was born and raised in California, I love to Snowboard, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in California in the middle of the desert. I have 2 brothers and a sister, but our family is much larger than that when you add in the aunts and uncles that we are close too. Family has always been a central focus for me because my parents taught me that family comes first. Right now I am on a mission, but when I get back I plan to go to college and major in history. I love learning what has happened in the past so that I don't make the same mistakes in the future. I grew up playing sports, especially baseball. I love to play baseball, volleyball and basketball. I have been snowboarding since I was young and love every minute of it. It is a way for me to spend time in nature, learn more about myself, and my limitations. I am also a certified Scuba Diver and I love spending time under the sea with the fishies. Although the stresses of life can get to me, I know my purpose in this life and I know how to be happy. That is some of the best knowledge we can have in this life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that God loves us and still speaks today. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and I know that the Bible is true also. I have come to a knowledge that God loves us and speaks to a prophet today. That prophet will lead us back to Heaven as we follow his words. I know this because I know that the Book of Mormon is true. That knowledge came from our Father in Heaven through heart felt pray.

How I live my faith

I try to live each day as though it were my last day on the earth. I serve the Lord with all my heart, might, mind and strength so that I can stand blameless before God at the last days (and I have a blast doing it too). I am a missionary and I know my purpose to bring others to Christ through baptism by God's proper authority.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

TJ
We can come to know our Father in Heaven by reading the scriptures and going to him in sincere prayer. As we speak the desires of our heart and listen to what our feelings are telling us, we can come to know our Heavenly Father and what he wants for us in this life. Show more Show less

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

TJ
The Funds of the full time missionaries are funded through money that we have saved up before our missions. We also get help from members of the congregation and family members when we can't come up with all the money we need.  Show more Show less
