Hi I'm Thales Alessandro

I`m from Brazil, i grew up in Maceio, a missionary, a lover for drawing and animation and a Mormon.

About Me

i`m now in a mission in England, my name`s Elder Thales, i`m 23 years old and i have 23 months in the mission, it`s just the best thing i could ever do. i can say that the missionary work, is something AMAZING, because of the joy we can have sharing the message of the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ... I`m Brazilian and i have never liked been in a church, but i always have missed something in my heart, something very special was missing, and when the missionaries said that i`m a child of God and i could know for my self that i can have my family for all the eternity, i was amazed... and by the power of the Holy Ghost i came to know that this is his true church.Today i can say i`m very happy, and this life is not "just been here". it is much more than this, and our eternal Father Gives us the opportunity to be like him... and be with him again. Matthew 5:48 Never been more happy than i`m today.

Why I am a Mormon

I had the opportunity to come to know that Jesus Christ is my savior, my redeemer, my Creator... I`m a Mormon because i came to know by the power of the holy ghost we can know which church is the true one. and even if is there to many confusion(God is not confusion) we can know that through prayer. we can know the truth of all things, by the Holy Ghost. the gospel of Jesus Christ changed my life completely. it showed me what was the best way to live, the good things we can learn, even in a strange world; that this is the time for us to prepare to meet God, and we can do this through Faith, repentance, baptism, receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and endure to the end. There`s nothing better than feel the love of the Savior during this life, there`s no better feelings than the feelings that He sends for you when we do what He says.

How I live my faith

i`m a missionary, to be obedient to God`s commandments and then preach the gospel until the end, even after the 2 years of my mission. i believe in living the word for myself and then helping other to find the truth of the Gospel. after everything God has given us to do here, we can have a great reward.

What is being a Mormon like?

Thales Alessandro
It is the best thing a ever done in my entire life, i`ve never been so happy, with so much energy to live, to share my happiness with everyone, there is nothing better than make part of the Church and partook of the blessings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It gives all we need, gives us the strenght to go on, to make better than the usual, to be a better person to make a difference in this world. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about "eternal life?"

Thales Alessandro
Eternal life generally could be described for people as live forever, but in the plan of salvation of God, it has another meaning... that is be in God`s presence, to know God and Jesus Christ. Heaven is the place where God lives and the future home of those who do God’s will and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. The hope of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and the purpose of life on this earth is to teach us and prepare us that we, along with our families, might live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ eternally. After we are resurrected we will be judged and rewarded for the things we have done in this life (see Revelation 20:12,13). Jesus Christ taught His Apostles that in His Father’s house are “many mansions” (John 14:2). Our loving Heavenly Father is anxious to reward all of His children according to their obedience to His commandments and their willingness to follow the Savior. Those who do these things and are worthy to return to the presence of God and Christ become “heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ” (Romans 8:17) of all that the Father has. They will return to live with Heavenly Father and with their families in His eternal glory. Those who choose not to follow our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will receive a reward according to what they have done in this life, but they will not enjoy the glory of living in the presence of God.
