Hi I'm Laurel Lee

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have many roles, but the ones I value most are: wife, mother, and friend. I work full-time in the healthcare field. I love spending time with family and friends. When I have spare time, I love to crochet baby blankets for my nieces and nephews.

Why I am a Mormon

The church is true. I have prayed to know of its truthfulness, and my prayers were answered. Gospel teachings give me hope and joy. Through Jesus Christ, I can be perfected, and live with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith when I teach my children about the Savior. We love to read about, sing about, and talk about the Savior. My own faith is strengthened when I share it with my family. I live my faith through service. I regularly visit women from my congregation in their homes, to share faith-building messages and to help them and their families as they need it. I live my faith by continuing to learn about Jesus Christ, so I can try to be more like him. I attend church every Sunday, and I worship in temples.  I live my faith by setting an example for those around me at work. My coworkers have noticed that my standards are different than theirs and have respectfully started to not use profane language, which changes the atmosphere at work. I live my faith by regularly evaluating my behavior and thoughts and recognizing that only through the power of Jesus Christ can I become the best person I can be. I pray for help from Him. I turn to Him, in times of trial. It is truly when I lean on Him that I find that He can lift me above my own weakness and struggles.

What is the First Vision?

Laurel Lee
Joseph Smith, a young teen in the early 1800s, was confused about religion. It was important to him to know which church was true. He read James 1:5 in the Bible and took that scripture to heart. He asked God which church was right. In response to his prayer, Heavenly Father and Jesus appeared to him. He learned that the true church was not on the earth at that time, and that he would be an instrument in restoring Christ's church to the earth. Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

Laurel Lee
It is a record of some people who lived in the Americas anciently. The crowning point in their history was the appearance of Jesus Christ to them after his death. It is a book of scripture that further clarifies doctrines contained in the Bible. I know it is a true record. I feel peace and love from Heavenly Father when I read and ponder the words in the Book of Mormon. In moments when I have had struggles and questions, I have found that reading the Book of Mormon helps me to understand the purpose of life and reminds me of the amazing grace available to all through Jesus Christ.
