Hi I'm Shyla

I'm a photographer. I love to travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student, a photographer, I love to travel, play basketball, and read.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and have been a member since. I am a Mormon because I know that this is the only true church upon this earth, it is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each day by making small actions and choices that reflect what our Savior Jesus Christ would do. I live each day by trying to be more like our Savior.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Shyla
It is important for us to take care of our bodies because our bodies are gifts from God. Since our bodies are gifts we must take care of them like any gift we would be given. We must show respect to our Heavenly Father by keeping our bodies clean. From the Bible, in 1st Corinthians 6:19-20, it states, "Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own." In this scripture it specifically states that our bodies are not our own; our bodies are temples. The scripture further says, "...therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." So thus, we must treat our bodies as gifts from God. Show more Show less
