Hi I'm Sjondel

I love to fish, hunt, enjoy nature. I love the gospel and I'm a Mormom!

About Me

Hey I'm Sjondel :) I am a convert to the church as well.I am the only member in my family. I love outdoor activities like fishing, shooting, hiking, and just exploring. I also love to play guitar. For the most part I just hang out with my friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

Being Mormon helps me to stay strong in challenging times. It gives me hope and happiness and most important it helps me to feel closer to Heavenly Father and the Savior. In 2008 someone I knew from high school passed away in a car accident. He was 6 weeks away from leaving on his mission. At his funeral there was this incredible peaceful feeling. It turns out it was the Spirit. I decided to take lessons from the missionaries at a friends house. My family wasn't really for it. I ended up not taking the lessons anymore. I graduated high school and my friends started going to the singles ward. I was invited to go to family home evening at the singles ward. I went and I really enjoyed it. The Spirit was once again so strong. One of my friends offered to open up her house for missionary discussions. She is now on a mission in Boise Idaho. I wasn't really for it at first. The elders I first met with were really pushy with me getting baptized. I wasn't ready yet. Then she said that we should try having lessons from the sister missionaries. It was absolutely incredible. The Lord knew I was ready to receive His gospel at that time. One month later I was baptized. It was January 2nd 2010. I know that this gospel is true. I know that the savior lives and that he atoned for my sins. I'm so grateful that the gospel was restored on the earth. I also know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God.

How I live my faith

I truly believe that it is by the small and simple things. Like reading scriptures daily for at least 10 minutes, praying at least twice a day, and going to all 3 meetings of church. One thing that means the most though is service. Even if it's something as simple as saying hi to someone. Charity never faileth :)
