Hi I'm Joseph

I grew up in a huge mormon family. I enjoy anything outdoors. I like having fun, and I love Jesus. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey my name is Joseph. I come from a large family with 4 brothers, 4 sisters, and over 100 cousins. So there's never really a dull moment. I recently returned from serving as a missionary for the church in the Iowa Des Moines Mission. I loved it! Now I'm a college student studying accounting at Utah Valley University. I work on a local orgainic farm and love my job. When I get a free minute I am usually hiking. I'm an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and know with all my heart that God knows and loves me.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church so I've been a member my whole life. I choose to stay a member because of the testimony I have of the truthfulness of what I've learned. The biggest reason that I'm a Mormon is because I read and prayed about The Book of Mormon. I know that it is true!

How I live my faith

There are so many ways that people can live their faith and what they believe. One way I try to live my faith is by doing my best to be a friend to everyone. I try to be a peacemaker so that everyone around me is happy. I pray daily to Heavenly Father to give thanks and to recieve direction. I study The Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures to help feed and strengthen my spirit. I love attending church every week. It is great to worship with family and friends. In my congregation I get to teach a sunday school class a couple times per month, which is really fun. I guess the biggest way that I try to live my faith is trying to be Christlike. He is my perfect example of how I should try to act. I'm far from perfect, but as I try to live how Christ did I feel I'm showing God my faith.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Joseph
Family is central to our religion and to God's teachings. One of the core objectives of the gospel of Jesus Christ is to help families righteously learn and grow together. When we realize that our families have the potential of being together forever, we will understand how important it is to try our hardest to love and serve one another. My family is the most important thing to me in my life. The best times I've had have been with my family. Show more Show less
