Hi I'm Lisa Lara

I'm a wife of a handsome Bolivian man and mother of 4 amazing children. I love being outdoors and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the wife of a handsome, Bolivian, man, and mother to three wonderful girls and a baby boy. I am also one of eight adopted children. We truly have a melting pot in my family. I used to work as a vocational rehabilitation counselor, but now I am lucky to stay home being a 'mom'. My husband and I try to speak Spanish as much as we can, and our daughters are biligual they also attend a dual-language school. I like to stay healthy and competed in my first triathalon last year and hope to do many more. Cooking is a natural hobby because we love to eat in our family!

Why I am a Mormon

I believe there is much more to our existence than just 'being' here for now. I know we existed before we were born, and that we will continue to live after this life. I try to use my Savior as my ultimate example and try to live as He lived. I know the Lord loves all of us, I can feel His love on a daily basis. If you look for His love, you will be able to feel it too.

How I live my faith

Service is a big part of my life I don't have much to give, but I do have time. I try to be available for others in their time of need. There is so much that needs to be done if I can help just a little then His love can be felt.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Lisa Lara
We believe that all that we have originated from our Heavenly Father. When you look at it that way, it's not so hard to give back only 10%. Our family has seen very wonderful and tangible blessings from paying our tithing. Show more Show less
